A '''famous piñata''' is a special type of piñata introduced in Trouble in Paradise and only available in special distributions, usually by Rare developers. Any [[species]] can be designated as a famous piñata; however, in normal gameplay this is impossible to achieve, as it was only possible to create famous piñatas using developer tools. 

For a number of years after the release of ''Trouble in Paradise'', the developer [[BIGsheep]] would send out famous piñatas to players who received all awards. However, as of 2016, Rare no longer has the ability to send out famous piñatas.
