Salamango is a salamander piñata and the evolved form of Newtgat. Despite being based on a real animal, Salamangos appear to take more inspiration from mythological salamanders, who have a strong association with fire.

In accordance with its mythical inspiration, Salamangos are referred to as "FireSalamander" in the game files.
