Pretztail is a nocturnal fox piñata and is usually one of the first predators encountered.

Pretztails appear frequently in media outside the games, and could be considered one of the series mascots.

In the television series, Paulie Pretztail is a frequently recurring character. He is a close friend of Fergy Fudgehog and is one of the few piñatas who agrees with him that the idea of attending a party and being hit with sticks by children sounds unpleasant.
