- Gregg Mayles, lead designer on Viva Piñata, also designed the first two games in the Donkey Kong Country series.
- Grant Kirkhope, lead composer on both Viva Piñata and Trouble in Paradise, did the voice for Sarsgorilla and for Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong 64.
