The Playground is a game mode exclusive to Pocket Paradise. It provides a sandbox where the player can customize a garden freely without limitations.

In this mode, the garden begins at its maximum size, with a randomly generated layout that the player can reroll if desired. Money does not exist in the Playground, and thus anything that requires money in the main game is available for free. Any items unlocked in the main mode are available Costolot's Store. Willy Builder will also build any houses that have been unlocked.

Wild Piñatas will not appear in the Playground. To add piñatas to the garden, they must be acquired from Gretchen, who will provide them instantly at no cost to the player. Like the other shopkeepers, Gretchen will only provide species that have resided in the garden in the main mode.
