What is the difference between a toadstool and a mushroom? One will make you sick, and the other will feed you. Someone knows the difference and can turn one into the other.

A Mushroom is a toadstool that has been tinkered by Bart.

Description

Obtaining

The mushroom is the only item obtained by tinkering a living plant. Because the toadstool is both attractive and toxic to your piñatas, the mushroom may be the most difficult item to tinker, as it requires some set up to do.

Only fully grown toadstools can be tinkered. Watch for the pink cloud the toadstool emits, as it will release a cloud upon finishing growing, which is when you can order the tinker ticket.

Piñatas find toadstools very attractive, and will all flock to it in an attempt to eat it. Not only will this interrupt the tinkering, causing you to start over, but it will also make your piñatas sick. Because of this, it is highly recommended to lock your toadstools behind fencing. Just remember to add a gate so Bart can reach them.

If you are playing Trouble in Paradise, the best fencing to use is Birdproof Fencing. This is the only fence that will stop flying piñatas, and will keep all your piñatas out of the pen.

Sometimes the game will not properly update, and will not let you select the toadstool with the tinker ticket even after it’s fully grown. Sometimes this will fix itself, but other times it may require a game restart to fix.

  • The mushroom's journal entry references the real-world difficulty of distinguishing edible mushrooms from poisonous lookalikes.
