RoleMini-Game Participant

Babochka is a young child with a love for Flutterscotches. They are exclusive to the mini-games introduced in Trouble in Paradise.

Biography

Appearance

Babochka is a small child. They have loose brown hair and brown eyes. They wear an elaborate Flutterscoth costume, apparently made by their parents. It seems to be loosely based off the Purple Flutterscotch, however is quite different from the actual piñata.

The costume features large pink wings attached to the back of a green dress. The dress is made from a purple skirt stitched to a green shirt. A pair of fake arms are attached beneath the real arms, able to move with the arms thanks to an attached string. Babochka's mask covers the top half of their face. It is purple, and features small yellow horns attached around the forehead, reminiscent of compound eyes. A pair of tall antennae are attached to the top of the mask.

Babochka in The P Factor

Babochka is only found participating in the Trouble in Paradise mini-games. As an opponent, they will use any color of Flutterscotch.

As a judge in The P Factor, Babochka prefers young piñatas, such as babies or new residents. This is opposite to Jardiniero, who prefers older piñatas.

P Factor

Introduction

  • "My Mummy and Daddy made me this costume, so I can be a Flutterscotch. I will be a real Flutterscotch when I'm older, you know!"

Thinking

  • "Umm. Will you choose for me please? I'm scared of the bigger Piñatas..."
  • "Hmm. I'm not... Maybe we could play for five minutes, but you don't get to dress up, and I choose the game."

Neutral Vote

  • "Hmph! I'm only going to play with this Piñata because I have to. But it is on the other team... the smelly team."

Bad Vote

  • "Eww! This Piñata is far too old to play Flutter Hop Scotch with me.”

Good Vote

  • "Ooh, ooh, I like that one the bestest! No, that one! No, that one! Can I choose them all?"
  • "Yay! You win! Do you want to be my bestest friend and we can play Flutter Hop Scotch!? Then we can dress up as Fluttercotch, then we can eat flowers, then we can..."

Behind the Scenes

Babochka was a character initially designed for the original Viva Piñata as a "bug expert" that would provide advice on how to attract bug piñatas alongside several other piñata experts. The introduction of the Journal made "expert" characters irrelevant, so Babochka was cut. They would be reused as a contestant in the Trouble in Paradise minigames.

Trivia

  • Babochka's name is derived from Бабочка, the Russian word for butterfly. The word can also be used as a term of endearment, usually toward a grandmother or child. Babochka's name is therefore a pun on this double meaning.
