You know how these things work - toss in some coins and make a wish. As well as coins, this wishing well accepts checks made out to 'MR WISHING WELL'.

The Wishing Well is a garden item available only in Trouble in Paradise. Unlocked after the credits, the wishing well is extremely important for players looking to attract all species of piñata.

Ivor Bargain, otherwise notably absent from his usual shop duties, is trapped down this well, and accepts any chocolate coins tossed down to him for his 'really big ladder' fund. In exchange, Ivor tosses up anything he finds down there, though the quality of the trade varies quite a bit. The more money donated, the better the rewards!

Backstory

Sometime in-between the events of Viva Pinata and Trouble in Paradise, Ivor managed to get on someones bad side. Ivor does not reveal who this was, but whoever it was would push Ivor into the well, trapping him and leaving him the only character that didn't return for the sequel, at least not in-person. While this would seem like a grim fate, Ivor seems to be doing better than one would think, even still being able to participate in the mini-games like everyone else, though with the use of the Xbox LIVE Vision camera and a "stagnant-water-to-240V transformer".

Gameplay

The wishing well effectively provides a source of infinite chocolate coins, particularly when paired with a Lantern o' Loot. When coins are tossed in, more will be tossed back out.

The well is also instrumental in obtaining a Choclodocus. One of the items required to create a Choclodocus egg, the amber gem, can only be obtained by tossing 9,999 coins into the well.

Trivia

  • While the identity of the person who pushed Ivor is unknown, some fans speculate it may have been Lottie, namely due to Ivor's stock from the previous game now being found at her store, along with the well itself. This is not confirmed however, and is only a theory.
    • It is likely that Ivor was cut from the sequel in an attempt to streamline the gameplay, as his catalog was rather small compared to most shops and were all things that fall under the same categories seen at Costolot's Store. Pocket Paradise also combines the two shops; however, Ivor is still present, with his items in a separate category from Lottie's catalog.
