Piñata Experts were a scrapped feature developed for the first Viva Piñata. Experts would provide advice on how to attract new piñata species. At least three experts were created: a reptile expert, a bird expert, and a bug expert. In the final game, the Journal instead details how to attract new species.
Though the experts themselves did not make it into the final game, their designs were eventually used for several minigame contestants.
More research is needed. Details: Bear A. Maracus seems like he would fit in with the bird/reptile/bug experts as a mammal expert. Is there any evidence that his design was created for this purpose?.
